Aslain’s Night Sky Edit

Combat ready

v1.3 Update has been released and has overhauled the mod significantly.
– All maps should now be darker and more “night”-like than the previous version due to modified lighting, fog and colour correction settings
– All maps now use modified probes folder to try to maintain a more consistent appearance across them. It’s not perfect but it’s better than it was before
– Modified skybox settings to be consistent across maps. They use a slow, low frequency value so you may notice it ghosting sometimes. I still feel this is better than making it static
– Added a hangar edit
– Added an optional mod to assist with visibility through a modified 3D Attachment
– As I’m limited by character limit, for more information please see my threads on WoTCord or WoT Infocord

This mod is an edit to the Night Sky mod found in Aslain’s Modpack. While this mod functions standalone without requiring you to use Aslain’s, I feel obliged to state that this is NOT my original mod.

This mod takes Aslain’s Night Sky mod and, as the name implies, edits the lighting settings of the maps to better fit the night aesthetic. The lighting may still feel brighter than you’d expect night to be but I wanted maps to be somewhat playable. This affects the following maps:
– the default Hangar
– all 44 Random Battle maps
– all 3 Frontline maps

Here is an Imgur album showing a preview for every map:

Some final notes:
– This mod SHOULD work with SD/Simplified HD Graphics. Simplified graphics however have a bit of scuff with water appearance. I’ve done all I can do make it work but on some maps it will look off
– I shouldn’t have to say this but I want to make it clear: this mod is dark. This will likely lead to some disorientation at first and will likely be uncomfortable for those with poor eyesight. Please keep that in mind. An optional mod has been included that may help with this and I highly recommend my Actual Lights mod alongside this one
– Various ambient map effects may stand out as jarringly bright compared to the overall lighting. Unfortunately I do not know a way to fix this while maintaining the appearance, I apologise for this
– Aslain’s original Night Sky mod edits various event mode maps as well. I have however removed them (with v1.3) and chosen not to include them since I cannot test them and maintaining event maps that may never return just increases mod size
– do not attempt to run this with any other skybox mod (namely No Fog/Sun Glare in Aslain’s), it WILL cause issues and cause the mod to not function as intended
