Where do your shells actually land inside the aiming circle? This mod records every shot you fire and shows it in a window in the garage: one dot per shell, placed where it went relative to your aim point, measured in the size of the circle at that moment. Over a few dozen battles you see your real shell distribution for each vehicle, next to what the game’s own distribution says you should get.
WHAT YOU SEE
– The circle: every logged shot of the chosen vehicle, coloured by result (damage / hit without damage / no vehicle hit). Zoom with the mouse wheel.
– Filters: fully aimed, almost aimed (tracking a moving target) or not aimed; moving or standing still; this session, one day or everything; battles or replays.
– Pick a shot to see the target’s real outline, traced at the moment you fired, the cover in front of it (purple) and, for a shot fired before full aim, how big the circle would have been fully aimed (green ring).
– Shot / Hit: where the target stood when you fired, and where on the tank the shell actually struck. The difference shows how far the target moved.
– Hit chance: a rough estimate, per shot, of how likely a shell from that circle and that aim was to land on the target’s visible outline.
– Battles: each battle with its BRNG (“Bad RNG”) score. 50 is an ordinary battle; higher means your shells landed further out than the game’s distribution says they should. A bad roll that still did damage counts less, one that did nothing counts more. It rates the dice, not how you played.
– English and Russian, following the game’s language.
GOOD TO KNOW
– The garage window needs net.openwg.gameface (included in the download). The logging itself works without it.
– Shots fired from closer than 12 m are listed but not counted: at that range the angle between the barrel and the sight says nothing about the shell distribution in the circle.
– Autocannons: the game reports only part of a burst with a tracer, so only those shells can be placed.
– Replays can be logged too (switch in the window). A battle that is already in your log is not counted twice.
Your logs are kept in World_of_Tanks/shellLogger_local, outside the mods folder, so reinstalling mods or a modpack does not touch them.
