Vanilla Gonsalo model is replaced by a modified version of the Caliban’s “HMS Bruiser” 3D Style. This includes:
-reworked textures to as closely match the vanilla UK Colour as I could
-a paint mask to support paint/styles
-gun marks adjusted to the different gun (as it’s using the Caliban style it uses the full 152mm of the Caliban, not the scaled down version the Gonsalo has originally)
Unfortunately, as the 3D Style was never designed to be used for such a purpose and I am simply not going through the extensive work to do such, decals and such (especially from other styles such as the Gonsalo’s unique “Many-Faced” style) will not work as intended. This isn’t a bug or an issue with the model, this is deliberate choice on my part.
Some artifacts may remain from the original “HMS Bruiser” skin. If they do, I apologise, but this is as closely as I care to make this work.
Installation
Simply export the scripts/vehicles folders from inside the “Pansy’s Gonsalo Custom Model” folder into res_mods. The mod should work with any future patch unless they actually modify the Gonsalo files.
