This is an experimental mod which adds functional lights to all 3D Styles with volume lights on them, casting light in front of the vehicle to make it seem like the lights are actually active. The effectiveness of this varies on a map-by-map basis and may not always look quite so good; particularly, I advise using a sky mod that darkens the game lighting such as Mirny Sky or Night Sky.
This mod affects the following styles:
USA: “M4A3(76)W Sherman”, King Tiger (Captured) “Nox Tenebris”, “T-832”, “Rambo”, M-V-Y “Comedian”, T57 Heavy “Sworn Brother”, M53/M55 “Amphibious”
Germany: MKpz 68 (P) “Wind of Arrakis”, Panther II/E-50/E-50M “Revenant Mk. II”, Leopard 1 “Blitzlicht”, Pz. VII “Vorhut”, Maus “Wüstenschiff”, Jagdpanzer E-100 “Dunkel”
USSR: K-91 “Oblivion”, Obj. 140 “Swallow”, IS-7 “Rhyolite”, ST-II “Footcruiser”, Obj. 268 “Svyatogor”
UK: Manticore “Pointer”, Centurion Action X “Primipilus” and “British Steel”, Concept 5 “Unto the Breach”, “Churchill Crocodile”, Tortoise “The Tortoise”, Badger “Lancelot”
France: “Char de Transition”, AMX 50B “Charles Martel”, AMX M4 54 “Gascon”, Foch B “Églantier”
Czechoslovakia: “Projekt ION”, Skoda T 50 “Orlík”, TVP T 50/51 “Party Wagon”, Vz. 55 “Quintessence”
Japan: Type 5 Heavy “Hanmā”
China: 122 TM “Special Guest”
Poland: CS-63 “Błyskawica”
Sweden: UDES 15/16 “Svadilfari”, Strv K “Spirit of War”
Italy: Rinoceronte “Nyx”
This includes special effects to the lights:
– the 122 TM Now has a tiny omnilight for the candle
– the T-832’s light activates when the gun fires. I must acknowledge that it is slightly out of sync, I couldn’t seem to fix this
– the Tortoise’s lights flicker when the vehicle takes a hit
– the Skoda T 50’s Light turns on at the start of the battle
– the Vz. 55’s lights turn on on first previewing it in the hangar/start of the battle, flicker when the vehicle takes a hit and an additional light when the gun fires
As stated, this mod is experimental at best. To better expand on this:
– lights do not appear in sniper mode
– lights may sometimes look a bit odd on certain objects/terrain. This is just how it ends up displayed
– lights (mostly) have a distance of about 120m, though they fade out the further away they are so you won’t really be seeing them at that distance
– almost every light is angled slightly down, that way they’re displayed better on terrain in front of the vehicle
– I couldn’t figure out a way to make the lights anything but a cone spotlight. This means more boxy lights might look a bit off. That’s just a limitation of my knowledge
– I tried to make the lights generally match the appearance of the volume lights on their respective tanks. This may not always be a perfect match however
This mod will not conflict with my other mods (such as Customisation Edits/Mirny Revamped), nor the Actual Lights Add-on for Mirny Revamped. It will however conflict with Brighter Lights, but like Mirny Revamped increases the lightMultiplier for those lights anyway.
Installation
To install drag the included .wotmod file into your WoT Game files and place it in the [PATCH FOLDER] in “mods”. For example: C:GamesWorld_of_Tanksmods1.27.1.0[WOTMOD GOES HERE]
This mod should run fine regardless of patch version.
