Following the v1.8 Update for Revamped Skies Volume 1, this mod will also be receiving a future update at some point to reduce the skyFog and make it more consistent across maps, as well as darken the fog a bit (this will result in darker maps as a result). I will also be making a preview album for each map since I neglected to do this before.
Please be aware there is no ETA On when this will be done however.

This mod is an edit to the Night Sky mod found in Aslain’s Modpack. While this mod functions standalone without requiring you to use Aslain’s, I feel obliged to state that this is NOT my original mod.

This mod takes Aslain’s Night Sky mod and, as the name implies, edits it. On top of the Aslain’s original starry sky and moon this edit changes the fog and lighting settings on every map to those from the Operation Postman story mission to better fit the night aesthetic.

This did require further edits as just slapping those values doesn’t actually result in a uniform appearance across all maps. I have attempted to fix this where it would be problematic (example: https://i.imgur.com/NBFqOzq.png) but this may not be perfect. Additionally, the lighting may feel brighter than you’d expect night to be but I wanted maps to be playable and not some horrible unplayable darkness.

Some final notes:
– This mod SHOULD work with SD/Simplified HD Graphics. While the files are edited appropriately all of my testing was done using HD Graphics so I cannot state with 100% Certainty that it does
– I shouldn’t have to say this but I want to make it clear: this mod is dark. This will likely lead to some disorientation at first and will likely be uncomfortable for those with poor eyesight. Please keep that in mind
– Ambient map effects such as Airfield’s offshore lightning still happen and may look weird. I can’t fix this, sorry
– Aslain’s original Night Sky mod edits various event mode maps as well. Besides the Waffentrager event available at the time of releasing this I have not edited any of these besides changing them to the Operation Postman settings (I can’t exactly test what I can’t play after all)
– do not attempt to run this with any other skybox mod (namely No Fog/Sun Glare in Aslain’s), it WILL cause issues and cause the mod to not function as intended

Installation

This mod features two different installation options:
wotmod version: drag or extract the included .wotmod file into your WoT Game files and place it in the [PATCH FOLDER] in “mods”. For example: C:GamesWorld_of_Tanksmods2.0.0.1[WOTMOD GOES HERE]

Do NOT run the wotmod version alongside Aslain’s original Night Sky.

res_mods version (ideal if you are already using Night Sky from Aslain’s, allow it to replace all existing files): drag or extract the included “spaces” folder into your WoT Game files and place it in the [PATCH FOLDER] in “res_mods”. For example: C:GamesWorld_of_Tanksres_mods2.0.0.1[FOLDER GOES HERE]
